Exporter of the Year Award - UK Trade & Investment, South East

Entry Criterion:

Open to any business involved in exports.

Judging Criteria:

  • Continuing export growth.
  • Demonstrating originality or a specialist approach.
  • Using innovation to adapt to change.

Employer of the Year Award - Simplyhealth

Entry Criterion:

We will look for businesses, large and small, with a culture where staff enjoy their work, demonstrated by a commitment to an enlightened approach to staff development and wellbeing.

Judging Criteria:

Entrants should be able to demonstrate a minimum of two:

  • Businesses that offer an innovative approach to staff with flexible benefits that improve their lives and communities.
  • Businesses that encourage and recognise staff initiatives, i.e. awards.
  • Businesses that encourage staff growth, both personally and professionaly, i.e. formal training.
  • Businesses that nurture staff passion about business, through personal involvement, to make successful business.

Innovation & Technology Award - University of Southampton Science Park

Entry Criterion:

How new ideas, practices, and products are leading to business success.

Judging Criteria:

Entrants should demonstrate they have achieved two or more of the following:

  • A product or process that has made a significant difference to sales revenue.
  • A commitment to the use of technology that has led to business success.
  • Evidence of an innovative approach to marketing, management or product development.

Small Business of the Year Award - Hampshire County Council

Entry Criterion:

A business employing up to 15 people

Judging Criteria:

  • Focus on quality customer service.
  • Recent successes and future challenges.
  • Achieving targets.
