Test Valley Borough Council New Business of the Year Award

Entry Criterion:

Open to businesses which began trading after January 2006.

Judging Criteria:

  • Continued growth since start-up
  • Meeting and overcoming challenges
  • Demonstrating originality

The HSA Business Excellence through People Award

HSA

Entry Criterion:

Demonstrating innovative and creative ways of developing staff.

Judging Criteria:

Entrants should comply with a minimum of three:

  • Having staff who are passionate about the business.
  • Enlightened staff development, i.e. flexible working, staff support and making work fun.
  • Making a successful business.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to employee well-being.
  • Reward and recognition of staff achievements.

Star Technology Services Ltd e-Business Award

Star Technology Services Ltd

Entry Criterion:

Open to all businesses that can demonstrate that they have added value and success to their own or their client's businesses by use of the internet through such as: e-communication, e-commerce, web design, electronic marketing.

Judging Criteria:

Entrants should be able to demonstrate at least one of the following:

  • They have successfully transformed a business by applying modern internet technology.
  • They have applied innovative methods of utilising the internet to give new services, products and experiences to a business.
  • Evidence of how they have utilised effective internet communications within a distributed company network.
  • Evidence of the benefits achieved from adopting flexible remote working methods.

University of Southampton Science Park Innovation Award

University of Southampton Science Park

Entry Criterion:

Demonstrating how new ideas, practices, and products are leading to business success.

Judging Criteria:

Entrants should demonstrate they have achieved two or more of the following:

  • A product or process that has made a significant difference to sales revenue.
  • A commitment to the use of technology that has led to business success.
  • Evidence of an innovative approach to marketing, management or product development.

Hampshire County Council Small Business of the Year Award

Hampshire County Council

Entry Criterion:

A business employing up to 15 people

Judging Criteria:

  • Focus on quality customer service.
  • Recent successes and future challenges.
  • Achieving targets.
