Competition Rules
How to enter
- 1. Entrants must be operating in the Borough of Test Valley.
- All entries shall be made either on the official application form which can be obtained from the organisers, or through the electronic form on the website (www.tvbawards.org.uk). All entrants shall supply such information as is requested on the official application form.
- Any media rights, e.g. press, television and radio, arising from this competition are reserved by the organisers. Before the announcement of the winners any contact by entrants with the media should be cleared with the Organisers in advance.
- The Organisers shall not be responsible for returning any materials to entrants unless agreed specially by prior written agreement.
- Any questions relating to the interpretation of these rules, the entry form or the application shall be a matter within the sole discretion of the Organisers who shall not be obliged to answer any queries or enter into correspondence whatsoever, in connection with the same.
- The Organisers may use the name and nature of Applicants' businesses for publicity purposes connected with this or future competitions, unless a request to the contrary is received from the entrant. Detailed elements of entries will be treated in strict confidence and will only be disclosed, other than in association with the Awards ceremony, with the Applicant's permission.
- The Organisers will appoint a panel of Judges for each Award category and reserve the right to remove from, or add to, the said panels at any time.
- The Organisers reserve the right to discontinue any application at any time without explanation.
- The Organisers will not accept costs, however incurred, by the entrant.
- Each panel of Judges will select those organisations who shall be classed as 'finalists' within their specific category. There will usually be three finalists but at the discretion of the judges this number may be reduced. Finalists will be selected based on the evidence submitted in the application and any additional information that the judging panel may receive if an organisation is visited by the judging panel, or representatives of the panel. Not all organisations will be visited and those which are visited will not necessarily be finalists.
- Winners within each category will be selected from the finalists by the Judges.. Awards shall be made to such of the entrants who, in the opinion of each panel of Judges, are most worthy of the Awards offered, judged against the stated criteria for the particular category of Award. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision of the panel of Judges.
- Where prizes are made in kind, as indicated in competition promotional/entry materials, no cash alternative is available.
- If, in the panel of Judges' opinion, none of the applications is of sufficient merit, the Organisers reserve the right not to make any or all of the Awards.
- Gold sponsors may not enter the category of competition for which they are sponsors.
- Organisers may not enter any category of the competition.
- The organisers reserve the right to request supporting documentation for those companies that are short-listed for an Award. Failure to provide such information may be detrimental to the application.
- The closing date for receipt of entry forms is 31st December 2009.
- The winners will be announced at the prestigious Gala Awards Dinner on 15 April 2010 and in the Andover Advertiser, Romsey Advertiser and Andover Sound as soon as possible after that date. Further details of the Gala Dinner will be notified to the finalists and published on this website.
- The right to revise these rules is reserved. Any changes will be published on the website (www.tvbawards.org.uk).
