TEST VALLEY BUSINESS AWARDS 2018

Meet the Test Valley Business Awards 2019 finalists: Businesswoman of the Year Award

A chance to learn more about the TVBAwards2019 Businesswoman of the Year Award finalists…

With only a few weeks to go until the Test Valley Business Awards Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony, held at the Army Flying Museum on 12th September, the spotlight is on the Businesswoman of the Year Award finalists.

Sponsored and judged by Aster Group UK, the Businesswoman of the Year Award celebrates businesswomen working within the Test Valley; encompassing employees as well as business owners and sole traders, who are proud of what they do, and have worked for and/or played a key role within their business for at least 3 years.

The finalists in this category for 2019 are:

  • Lisa Armstrong of Active Staff Ltd.
  • Caroline Stevens of Danebury Vineyards
  • Emily Wilkinson of Social You

The upcoming Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony, where this year’s winners will be revealed, represents the ideal opportunity to network with up to 200 local business representatives in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Caroline Stevens, Sales & Marketing Director, Danebury Vineyards says of being shortlisted:

‘’After being nominated anonymously it is an honour to be selected as a finalist for the Business Woman of the Year category. Thank you to the sponsors for their investment in this competition – which provides an opportunity to reward and recognise the individuals and companies that help put Test Valley on the map for its’ business expertise.’’

Emily Wilkinson, Director of Social You, remarked of her success as a local businesswoman:

“I am dedicated to working with local talent where I can – a large proportion of our freelancers are women and I think this support is vital for them. I genuinely believe that women don’t have the same belief in themselves, or their businesses, as their male counterparts and so undervalue their time and the quality of their work. I always try to support female entrepreneurs through encouragement and advice.”

The Test Valley Business Awards Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony is made possible by the generous support of the Awards sponsors, including this year’s Special Sponsors Barratt Homes.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony on 12th September are available to book via the Awards website or by visiting: https://tvba2019galadinner.eventbrite.co.uk, and cost just £60 to include welcome drink & 3 course meal.

Now in its 15th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a steering group of volunteers – has become a well-established platform to champion business excellence. It is a great way of shining a light particularly on the many new and small businesses in the region, all doing interesting and valuable work, but often out of sight.
