TEST VALLEY BUSINESS AWARDS 2018

Mayor of Test Valley Visits New Business Award-Winner

The Worshipful the Mayor of Test Valley visits New Business award-winner…

In the weeks that have followed the Test Valley Business Awards’ 15th annual Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony, seeing over 150 local business representatives gather together to find out which of this year’s finalists were to be announced the deserving winners of 2019, The Worshipful the Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Martin Hatley, has been helping the winners celebrate their achievements even further.

Starting with Ava May Aromas last week, joint winners of the New Business of the Year Award sponsored by Test Valley Borough Council, the Mayor visited the business’s premises near Andover, where he was able to meet the team; finding out more about the achievements of the business since it was established in July 2018, and future plans.

Based at The Commercial Centre near Andover, Ava May Aromas was established in July 2018 by Hannah Chapman who started creating beautiful wax melts, candles, reed diffusers and more; all made with unique and designer scents.

The visit marks the first of many for this year’s Business Awards winners; with Critical Software, Aster Group, and CircuitWorx included in those still to come before the end of the year.

Now at the end of its 15th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a steering group of volunteers – has become a well-established platform to champion business excellence. It is a great way of shining a light particularly on the many new and small businesses in the region, all doing interesting and valuable work, but often out of sight.
