With judging now underway for the Test Valley Business Awards 2026, Gold Sponsor Test Valley Borough Council is once again helping to recognise businesses making sustainability an integral part of the way they work.
For the third consecutive year, Test Valley Borough Council is sponsoring the Sustainability Award, celebrating businesses that are reducing their environmental impact, embracing greener practices and creating positive, lasting change.
Sustainability can take many forms. For businesses across Test Valley, it might mean reducing energy use and carbon emissions, cutting waste, changing how resources are sourced and used, introducing more sustainable business models or sharing knowledge and good practice with others.
The Sustainability Award recognises organisations that have successfully embedded sustainable practices within their operations and can demonstrate genuine environmental and social impact.
Judges will be looking for evidence of environmentally responsible practices, action to reduce carbon emissions and waste over time, positive impact beyond the business itself and transparent communication about progress towards a more sustainable future.
Test Valley Borough Council said:
“Test Valley Borough Council is excited to be sponsoring the Sustainability Award at this year’s Test Valley Business Awards for the third year.”
The Council has previously highlighted the inspiring sustainability journeys it has discovered through the Awards and is looking forward to learning more about the businesses making positive changes across the borough in 2026.
Katie Brooks, Chairman of the Test Valley Business Awards, said:
“Sustainability is increasingly becoming part of how good businesses operate, rather than something that sits separately from everything else they do.
“What makes this category particularly exciting is the variety of businesses that can demonstrate real progress. You don’t have to be a company working specifically in the environmental sector. Businesses of every size and from every industry can look at the way they operate and find practical ways to reduce their impact.
“We’re delighted to have Test Valley Borough Council returning as a Gold Sponsor for a third year and helping us recognise businesses that are not only thinking about a more sustainable future but are taking meaningful steps towards creating one.”
Following the close of nominations on Sunday 2 August, Test Valley Borough Council and the other Gold Sponsors are now reviewing this year’s entries as part of the judging process.
The Sustainability Award is one of eight categories within the Test Valley Business Awards 2026, celebrating the achievements of businesses and individuals from Andover, Romsey, Stockbridge and the surrounding Test Valley villages.
The Awards shine a spotlight on organisations of all sizes, recognising innovation, achievement and the contribution businesses make to the local economy and the communities around them.
The winners will be revealed at the Test Valley Business Awards Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday 17 October 2026, bringing together businesses, sponsors and guests from across the borough for an evening of celebration.
Further announcements, including details of the 2026 finalists, will be made following the completion of judging.
